On behalf of Teaching and Learning Innovations (TLi), welcome to CSUCI! We are excited to meet and work with you.

CSU faculty aim to be excellent educators in order to achieve our campus mission. While Faculty Development supports you in all of the many aspects of your academic life, Teaching and Learning Innovations is distinctly responsible for partnering with you as you develop your teaching practice, consider ways to take pedagogical risks, and address the many challenges of teaching in higher education.

To that end, we have created a ~20-30-minute Welcome experience for you in Canvas, our learning management system. Once you accept the invitation, you can access the space, which includes the following topics:

- Ice breaker - say hello and introduce yourself; others will do the same over the next few weeks.
- Who we serve - Some brief information and sources of additional information about our students.
- Us! Teaching and Learning Innovations - our mission and vision, plus a little more about our team and how we can work together.
- Teaching Tips - We have tips for getting started with Canvas (as well as our upcoming workshops), some resources for initiating contact to build community with your students, some student-friendly syllabus support, as well as tips for communicating your assignments in ways that set them up for success. With our tips, we always provide examples and even starter kits for you to take, revise, and use, when relevant.
