Current Student Resources

The Current Students Website provides information to current students enrolled in undergraduate and graduate academic programs offered through Extended University. You can find details about course offerings, registration dates/deadlines, program information and roadmaps, campus resources, student forms, and steps to take after applying to become a CI Dolphin.

How to Get Transcripts 🤳🏽

If you need a transcript with your degree posted, check your myCI email first to see if you have received a degree completion notification. Degree posting may take up to 8-10 weeks after grades have posted.

Ordering an Official Transcript

If you have a myCI account: Order your official transcript by using the myCI official transcript link, which will prompt you to log in to the myCI portal and direct you to the ordering page.

If you do not have a myCI account or do not know your log in information: You can create a transcripts ordering account through the ordering service.

Official Transcripts cost $5.00 each with additional costs for paper mailing services.
A transcript will not be issued and cannot be ordered if you have a hold that prevents transcript printing.

Delivery Options

Transcripts are mailed via the USPS, FedEx, or eTranscript depending on the option you choose.

Be sure to order with enough time to meet any deadline you have. For standard USPS allow 24-48 hours for your transcript(s) to be generated once your request has been submitted. Processing time varies during holiday closures and grading periods.

eTranscripts that are requested to an email address are available for one month, with three log in attempts and seven downloads. After that you will need to reorder.

In person pick up is not currently an option, for the safety and health of our staff.

Unofficial Transcripts

Unofficial transcripts are only available to current students and alumni with access to myCI. Visit your Student Center to view your unofficial transcript.

Official Transcript Legend

CI provides important information about the institution such as WASC accreditation, course numbering, academic calendar, and grading system on the reverse side of the official transcript: Transcript Legend.

Enrollment/Degree Verification

CSU Channel Islands participates in the National Student Clearinghouse (NSC) process for providing enrollment verifications. Students, prospective employers, or other agencies may request enrollment verifications at www.degreeverify.org.

Enrollment verifications will generate immediately for students, but for an employer or agency initiated request, processing typically takes 2-5 business days. If a student has a Family Education Rights & Privacy Act (FERPA) restriction, the written consent of the student is required by the NSC to release information

Evaluators in the Registrar's Office review college course work taken at other institutions and apply it to your degree requirements at CSU Channel Islands.

Look at Your Degree Progress Report 👀

Your Degree Progress Report (previously known as your CARR) is an electronic report that outlines General Education, Graduation, Major and Minor requirements for students. The report is conveniently located in your Student Center.

Use your Degree Progress Report to prepare for Advising appointments and review it regularly to complete your degree requirements at CI.

Log in to myCI
Select CI Records in the Services section
In your Student Center, click the drop down menu under Academics
Select "Degree Progress Report" and click the arrows

Your Degree Progress Report and Requesting Changes

General Education:

G.E. courses can satisfy various subcategories. Please ensure courses you have taken are displaying in the G.E. Category area you intended. You can request courses to be moved to a different location by sending an email to registrar@csuci.edu.

Example: You took PA 101 at CI, which can meet GE Area A1 or GE Area C1. The CARR gave you credit for GE Area A1, but you would prefer GE Area C1 credit.

California Community College G.E. Pattern:

You can determine if your CSU G.E. Certification or IGETC were processed by reviewing the General Education title in your CARR. If you are certified, the title of your G.E. area will state either "CSU GE Certification pattern" or "IGETC Certification pattern".

Send an email to registrar@csuci.edu requesting a review of your transfer credit for CSU GE Certification.

Majors & Minors:

Your major and minor displays in the header at the top left corner of your Degree Progress Report.

To change your major or claim a major, minor, emphasis, option or concentration submit a Change of Major Request (Adobe Sign).

Substitutions:

You can determine if your approved Substitution Request was processed by reviewing your Degree Progress Report.

Send an email to registrar@csuci.edu and ask for your approved Substitution Request to be processed in your Degree Progress Report.

What-If Reports:

The What-If Report is a simulated Degree Progress Report for students considering changing their major. You can also browse the catalog and simulate courses for enrollment. You have the option to simulate results for both the major and courses in the same report or separately.
